Oxidization (tarnish) will occur if item(s) remain in packages or are untouched for a lengthy amount of time. Oxidization is a natural chemical reaction and is normal for sterling silver over time, even with very expensive sterling jewelry. Oxidization can be especially likely to occur during summer months or when items are in storage. Polishing cloths and creams (such as Sunshine cloths or Wrights Silver Cream) can be used to restore luster to your sterling items.
